Engaging in physical activity in a group or class setting is one of the best ways to build relationships. Surrounding yourself with others who are positive, encouraging, and are too pursuing a healthy lifestyle allows more room for growth in every aspect.  

"A good companion shortens the longest road." 

Being with a group of others a couple times of week certainly builds social skills. And as time goes on and you progress, strengthening and maintaining your relationships, including the one with yourself, becomes easier. It is important to build healthy relationships and find a support system.
